General code question

I am working with a skin and this is one of the codes. When there is a URL for a background as well as a hex code should you change the code to go with the skin? I see a flash of purple, which is the color highlighted in blue below.
Just wondering.

Morning :). Yes, I would change it to a color pulled from the skin instead. It is a good idea to add a background color that matches or is pulled from the background image. That way if the image does not display for some reason you would at least see the color. And also the "flash" you see as the skin loads would be a color that matches. :).

Yes, it is the lavender from the original skin, because the hex code is still there.
